GOLDEN PRAWN BALLS

Try to make these finger-licking deep-fried goldenlicious prawn balls. It is so good you cannot resist for more.

Ingredients & Method

  • 400g frozen prawns, roughly chopped
  • 120g Spanish mackerel (batang) fish fillet, chop/blend finely
  • 1 medium size dried squid, soaked and minced

  • SEASONING
  • 1 tsp Knorr SavorRich Chicken Concentrated Seasoning
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • Dash of pepper
  • 1 tbsp tapioca starch
  • Fry minced dried squid till fragrant, set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and seasoning. Mix the paste by throwing it into the mixing bowl a few times until gluey/sticky.
  • Heat up 2 cups of oil in a pot.
  • Grab a handful of the prawn mixture and squeeze out a ball shaped prawn paste in between your thumb and index finger. On another hand, use a spoon to scrape and remove the prawn ball and gently drop it in the pre-heated oil.
  • Deep fry the prawn balls by stirring it constantly till it turns golden brown or cooked.

  • 500ml KNORR Chicken Stock (Dissolve 1 KNORR Chicken Cube in 500ml of water)
  • 6-8 pcs Prawns deshelled

  • 1 Stalk spring onion (julienne)
  • 1 Slice ginger (julienned)
  • 1 tbsp Chinese wine
  • 1 tsp Oyster sauce
  • Pinch of white pepper
  • 1 tsp KNORR Hao Chi All-in-one Seasoning

  • Beat eggs with KNORR Chicken Stock and strain.
  • Pour egg mixture into a deep plate for steaming, arrange deshelled prawns on eggs mixture.
  • Steam eggs with prawns on low heat for about 15 to 18 minutes.
  • Prepare sauce with sautéed spring onions and ginger, season with KNORR Hao Chi All-in-one Seasoning, oyster sauce and white pepper.
  • Thicken sauce with corn flour.
  • Pour sauce on steamed egg with prawns. Ready to serve.

Ingredients & Method

  • Paste
  • 8 dried red chillies, soaked
  • 2 tbsp dried shrimp
  • 6 shallots, peeled
  • 1 tbsp galangal, peeled
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 large lemongrass stalks, trimmed
  • 3 candlenuts
  • 1 tbsp belachan
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 200g cooked rice noodles
  • 100g fish cake, sliced
  • 6 tau pok puffs, sliced thinly
  • 50g bean sprouts
  • 2tbsp haochi
  • 1tbsp sliced laksa herb
  • 4 hard boiled eggs, peeled
  • 20 cooked prawns
  • Blend the paste in a food processor until you get a smooth paste.
  • Saute in a pan for about 5mins or until the mixture is dry.
  • Add the fishcake, tau pok, noodles and bean sprouts to cooked for about 2 mins.
  • Season to taste with haochi.
  • Garnish with the eggs, laksa herbs and prawns.

Ingredients & Method

  • 570g Large king prawns
  • 2 Onion, diced
  • 2 Cloves garlic, diced
  • 1 tbsp + 1 tbsp KNORR HAO CHI All-in-one Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp Cooking oil
  • 3 tbsp Tomato ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Chilli sauce
  • 3 tbsp Water
  • Trim, de-vein and clean the king prawns. Add 1 tablespoon of KNORR HAO CHI All-in-one Seasoning to marinate the prawns and refrigerate.
  • Heat the wok and add the cooking oil.
  • Add the marinated prawns into the wok and stir fry until it changes colour. Set the prawns aside.
  • Add the diced onions, fry for a few second.
  • Add the prawns back into the wok and add 2 tablespoons of KNORR HAO CHI All-in-one Seasoning, tomato ketchup, chili sauce and stir fry until well mixed.
  • Add in 3 tablespoons of water, bring to boil.
  • Dish up and serve.

  • 2tbsp planta
  • 3 whole eggs, beaten lightly
  • 300g cooked rice
  • 1tbsp haochi

Ingredients & Method

  • 12 Prawns with shell (de-shelled with vein removed)
  • 2 tbsp Corn flour
  • 950ml Oil (for deep frying)
  • Sauce:
  • 2 tbsp Planta
  • 1 clove Garlic (bashed and minced)
  • 1 Red chilli (chopped finely)
  • ½ tsp Curry powder
  • 3 tbsp Knorr Salted Egg Yolk Powder

  • Dust prawns with corn flour. Remove excess flour.
  • Heat oil and deep-fry prawns until 80% cooked. Remove and drain. Set it aside.
  • Meanwhile, sauté garlic and chilli until garlic turns light golden.
  • Lower heat. Add curry powder, Knorr Salted Egg Yolk Powder, salt and sugar.
  • Once sugar begins to caramelize, add prawns.
  • Toss prawns until cooked.
  • Remove and serve immediately.

  • 3 tbsp KNORR HAO CHI ALL-IN-ONE SEASONING
  • 15 Big tiger prawns (lightly pre-fried to crispy)
  • 1pkt Tofu puffs
  • 3 Fresh ginseng
  • 2cups Hot water
  • 25g Huai Shan
  • 1/2tbsp Wolfberries
  • 20g Red radish slices
  • 20g Edamame soybeans
  • 20g Emperor dou miao
  • Soak the ginseng, huai shan and wolfberries in 2 cups of hot water for 2 to 3 mins.
  • Fry the big tiger prawns in a pot of hot oil for 1 minute. Drain and set aside.
  • Place the tofu puffs and fried prawns on a big plate and lightly sprinkle KNORR HAOCHI ALL-IN-ONE SEASONING. Place the soaked ginseng, huai shan and wolfberries onto the prawns.
  • To cook, place the platter onto a steamer and steam for 3 to 5 minutes until the prawns are cooked.
  • Add on sliced red radish, edamame soybeans and emperor dou miao to garnish.

    Based on personal preferences, you can replace the tiger prawns to any white fish fillet for the same great taste.

  • 3 tsp KNORR HAO CHI ALL-IN-ONE SEASONING
  • 12 Tiger prawns
  • 2n Red shallots (thinly slice)
  • 4 Young corns
  • 60g Cauliflower (cut to bite size)
  • 60g Broccoli (cut into bite size)
  • 60g Fine asparagus
  • 2 sprigs Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • Quarter cup Lemon juice
  • Quarter cup Unsalted butter
  • 80ml Water
  • 2 tbsp Cooking oil
  • Combine the tiger prawns with 1 tsp of KNORR HAO CHI ALL-IN-ONE SEASONING and set aside.
  • Heat up a wok with 2 tbsp of cooking oil and lightly fry the shallots for 2 mins.
  • Add in the coriander leaves, water, lemon juice, young corns, cauliflower, broccoli and asparagus before covering the wok with a lid and wait for it to reach a boil.
  • When the water is almost dried away, sprinkle the remaining KNORR HAO CHI ALL-IN-ONE SEASONING, unsalted butter and tiger prawns to cook for 2 to 3 mins before getting ready to serve.

  • 200g Dory Fillet
  • 100g Prawns (de-shelled)
  • 2 Lime Leaves
  • 2 Mussels
  • 1 stalk of Pandan Leaf
  • 1 stalk of Lemon Grass
  • FRUITY SOUP BASE INGREDIENTS:
  • 100g Yellow Bean Paste
  • 50g Ginger
  • 40g Onion
  • 30g Cocktail Onion
  • 20g Garlic
  • 60g Tomatoes
  • 2 Chilli Padi
  • 1 ring of Pineapple
  • 1 Lemon (squeeze to Juice)
  • 2 tbsp plum Sauce
  • 1 tbsp spice Mix
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 cup orange Juice
  • 1/2 cup Carrot Juice
  • 1 tbsp KNORR HAO CHI ALL-IN-ONE SEASONING
  • Orange Zest
  • Mint Leaves
  • Boil water with KNORR FISH CUBE to obtain a clear fish stock.
  • Blend the fruity soup base ingredients in a blender until fine.
  • Add the blended mixture to the fish stock, together with pandan leaf, lime leaves and lemon grass. Simmer until fragrant and strain fruit stock mixture.
  • In a new pot, bring fruits stock mixture to a boil again. Add prawns, mussels and dory fillet.
  • Cook for 5 minutes. Adjust seasoning with KNORR HAO CHI ALL-IN-ONE SEASONING.
  • Garnish with orange zest and mint leaves.

  • Add avocado oil into a heated wok, fry shallots and chilli to fragrant. Add orange juice, water, and butter with Knorr Haochi All in One seasoning.
  • Add the marinated prawn to the gravy and bring it to a boil.
  • Upon boiling, add Chinese greens and cover with a wok to simmer until almost dry.
  • Serve hot with a bowl of rice.
